The Championship Fours competition concluded last Sunday with a new,
combination, including three Juniors coming through to win the event.
Earlier in the day the semi-finals saw two contrasting games played to find the finalists.
In the first match up the Matt Hardy skipped combination with Gerry Wilkinson, Ken Emirali and Bruce Williams managed to get themselves into a 12-10 lead with 3 ends to play, but were overwhelmed by the Scott Harrison skipped team of Richard Seifert, Glen MacDonald and Artem Chesnokov who took the win 20-12.

The other semi-final saw the  Ivan Sumich skipped team of Graham Farley, John Thompson and Odie Walter hold a slender lead all they way until the last of 15 ends when the Terry Barrett combination of Allan Moyle, Warren Tritt and Steve Kirwan drew level. The extra end was decided by last of Sumich's bowls, the only one of his team's on the rink to take the win by one, 16-15.

The final was a tense and close fought affair with the teams level for much of the match.  The Sumich four took a handy 2 shot lead going into the last end, but the movement of the kitty back in the head late in the end to give the Harrison team 3 shots was not able to countered by Sumich with his last bowls, giving the Harrison four a well deserved victory 13-12.

Congratulations to the winning combination.
