 Balmoral entered a team in the 2016 edition of the Milford 5000, an annual Triples Any Combination tournament where teams had to be made up of 2x 1-5 year bowlers and 1x 1-8 bowler. The team compromised Odie Walter as skip, John Thompson as two, with Graham Farley leading. In the rain shortened first day - just 4 games of 8 ends were played, the Balmoral team had two close losses in their first 2 games played but closed the day with 2 wins to go in to the Plate Section. With 4 wins on Sunday, the team made the podium in 3rd place on points differential. Excellent to see that the Balmoral Juniors travel and perform well away from home. |
