Both the Balmoral Men's and Women's Clubs entered teams in the Auckland section National Interclub qualification round. The Women's team found the competition to be pretty fierce in Division One. They secured two Pairs wins and a solitary win in Singles across the two days and were not able to progress to post section play. Women's Section Play results can be found here . The Men's team were entered in Division Two and the draw saw them playing on home greens. Overall the team had an 8 win, 2 Draw, 5 loss record across two days of play, missing out on qualifying as one the 3 next best finishers by 2 points.  Team of the weekend was the the Fours combination of John James (s), Odie Walter, Allan Moyle and Graham Farley, who went through the two days unbeaten, finishing with a 4 win, 1 draw record. An excellent outing for a junior dominated Men's team who will be better for the experience in seeking to go one better next year. |
